On Monday 7 May 2018, the Minister for Finance, the Hon. Robin Scott MP, officially opened newly refurbished offices supporting ESSSuper employees and members.
CEO Mark Puli said considerable care was taken to ensure a longer term return on investment in the refurbishment – which is the first in over 10 years – to continue to support ESSSuper employee and member needs now and into the future.
‘The refurbished office is designed with employees’ wellbeing in mind – such as ergonomic workstations that can be adjusted for sitting or standing – as well as being purposefully future-oriented.
‘It contains free-flowing collaborative spaces where our employees can share expertise so we can continue to best look after our members,’ Mr Puli said.
'What's unique about this refit is custom-built meeting rooms for ESSSuper members. The circular futuristic looking ‘pods’ have windows providing a sense of openness and welcome, while yet being enclosed and sound-proof.
‘These Australia-first pods are unique, in that they can be assembled and relocated anywhere within our office in 12 hours,’ he said.
‘This aligns with our focus of building flexibility into our operations and service to effectively respond to member needs now and into the future.'
"The pods are available for members to come in and have a chat with our staff, to clarify questions and get a better understanding of their super," said Mr Puli.
In addition, the new office incorporates in-house seminar rooms for super education sessions held for members across the year.
