ESSSuper only exists to provide better retirement outcomes for our members. And a major factor that sets us apart is the special Defined Benefit funds that are designed to provide a secure retirement for people like you, who serve the community.1 But our expertise in these and the other funds we offer is of little value if we don’t share that knowledge with you. So we put a lot of resources into making it easy for you to get the information you need.
Depending on the fund they have, thousands of ESSSuper members already use Members Online to check their transaction history, update their contact details, change their contribution rate, make extra contributions, find and consolidate any other super they may have, check their insurance cover and much more.
Recent changes to mail services have meant many people now experience delays in receiving traditional letters. So it’s good to know you can now receive some of your ESSSuper mail directly to your dedicated Members Online inbox, securely and confidentially.
That way you can be sure you’ll receive all messages from us in a timely manner, and you’ll never lose important correspondence about your super again. If you've selected to receive communications via email, when new mail is available through your Members Online inbox, you’ll simply receive an email notification. You then log in to Members Online to access your message.
Of course, you want to be confident that Members Online is secure. That’s why we use a variety of security features similar to those used in online banking to ensure the security of your personal information and correspondence.
Members Online also gives you access to our interactive tool, AssistMe. AssistMe lets you interact with different super scenarios to gain a better understanding of what you can do to enhance and maximise your retirement outcome.
If you are planning for retirement, AssistMe can show you a projection of what your future financial situation may be, including indications of your potential income and the lifestyle that income might support in retirement. If you are already retired, AssistMe lets you explore different investment strategies, to give you an idea of how changing your investment options could influence your income and how long your super may last.
Building on our popular member seminars, we’ve recently rolled out online webinars where you can join in and hear from the experts in your fund. In these days of social distancing, it means you can now get the information you need about your super from the safety of your own home.
Whether you’re still working or you have already retired, there’s a session designed to give you the answers you need in real time. And in addition to all the regular updates you’ll find on our website, this year we’ve launched our new podcast series on a range of different super topics. It’s one more way you can access a broad range of super information whenever and wherever it suits you.
This year, our Accumulation Plan and Income Stream products have once again been rated Platinum by Super Ratings2. SuperRatings are superannuation awards recognising excellence and value for money amongst Australia’s super funds.
For more than 10 consecutive years, SuperRatings have recognised the value and service offered to members by ESSSuper and put us in the top 25% of super funds in Australia.
And last year, for the expertise and care we put into serving our members, the ESSSuper Member Service Centre received the National Best in Class Contact Centre award for exceptional member service.3
While receiving awards is always welcome, it’s what it means for our members that really counts. 2020 has seen us continue to expand our superannuation education services for members. In the past few months we have moved all seminars to webinars and launched a podcast. Whilst continuing to offer convenient online access to the functions of Members Online and interactive tools like AssistMe, and our friendly and knowledgeable Member Service Centre.
